Tiffany's story in her own words.
Helping others alleviate pain and stress has been an interest of mine since I was sixteen. The summer of 1999 at the age of 18, I had enrolled in a 1000 hour Holistic Health Practitioner Program at the Academy of Professional Careers in San Diego, CA. my studies included anatomy, physiology and several styles of massage. At 750 hours I attained a Massage Therapist License and started my externship with the San Diego Gulls (a minor league Hockey Team). During that time I acquired my specialty deep tissue massage. In May of 1999 I graduated with my Holistic Health Practitioner license the highest certificate degree in massage that San Diego offers.
My first job was at an elite spa in San Diego called, “Primo’s Day Spa and Salon,” which attracted locals and tourists. I provided massage services there while attending National University where I completed my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts in May of 2002. In September 2002 I accepted a massage position closer to home at Spa Riviera and its affiliates Barona Casino and Hotel and Monte Vista Ranch. A year later I moved from San Diego to Bloomington and obtained a job at Bo-Lin Hair Design. During my time with Bo-Lin I networked with various business professionals, which inspired me to open Tiffany's Therapeutic Massage in January 2005.
Throughout my career I continue my education by taking classes in massage therapy, aromatherapy, energy healing and holistic health. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Holistic Health through the American Institute of Holistic Theology. I have been recognized by the National Association of Professional Woman “As Woman of the Year” for 2011/2012 for my dedication and excellence within my profession.
Most recently I have completed 105 hours of training in Vedic Thai Massage. In addition I have completed a year long study program in Shamanic Healing. This training culminated with a two week shamanic initiation journey in Peru learning from the ancestors and keepers of this knowledge.
My Professional Goals are to continue pursuing further education in fields that will benefit the majority of society in a non invasive practical manner than in itself is nurturing and healing. Essentially every system in the body can be improved by massage, either directly or indirectly and that is why I love what I do!
